Politics

I mostly have treated politics as a necessary evil. I don't believe in oversimplifying down linear views such as conservatives vs liberal. Government should exist to help us get along with one another not as a way to make others conform to how we believe things should be.

I believe more in an amicable.life. Therefore my answer to what political party most represents me and which I support would be party4.amicable.life.

My goal is to help cause change through grass roots politics instilling better methods of governing in more peaceful ways. Help keep me out of office by writing politicians or, if you are willing, running for office yourself.

There are a lot of changes I would like to see but the first would be to start heading toward a system that abolishes taxes instead being run by donations. A lot of changes might be necessary to make the government good enough that people are willing to donate enough to run it sufficiently well without forcing money from people. Together we can try to make the first step in that direction as described on party4.amicable.life/funding.

I don't want to "Make America Great Again" because I don't think there was actually a time it qualified as great, only better than many places. Instead, I would like to work to make America better so that it more fully can be considered great.

A little while ago I was thinking about be taught to recite the pledge of allegiance and how that felt like indoctrination and started realizing it would be much better if America didn't need people to pledge their allegiance because it was simply great enough to have peoples allegiance such that each person instead would easily state why they support America and happily do what they can for their country.

The United States Constitution served a decent purpose, but it was drafted in a much different age and honestly might could use a major overhaul or start from scratch. It was set up to grow with the ability to add amendments to try and allow it to become better. Free public education was attempted (I say attempted because there still seem to be many fees involved) to allow people to learn better how to govern themselves. We can honor both these things and even revere the original constitution with all of it's inadequacies even if we were to start fresh. The truth is we have learned over the years and have built computers and information networks greatly affect the ways in which we can now govern.

We however are threatened by those who don't think for themselves and therefore are easily swayed by those seeking power. We must continue to promote people thinking for themselves.Â
